     You May not realize it, but prom season is perhaps one of the most fashionable seasons of the entire year. While ladies and gents may not be stepping out to go to the annual star-studded Met Gala event held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET) in NYC, they are stepping out to prom. In Chicago, the high school event has proved to be just as glamorous as the MET, if not more. From mermaid silhouettes, ballroom gowns and to two-piece sets, there’s no better time to be young and alive! That’s right, this year’s prom season showcased designs so stellar they seemed more suited for a castle or red carpet than a high school runway.     Wow! Wear to start with designer Binta Sagale’s ’lovely prom muse and designs. Binta started strong with an asymmetrical corset mermaid hem dress curated with sequins made of mesh, velvet, crystals, and other darling materials. This breathtaking dress is embroidered, encrusted, and velveted to perfection. Truly golden in both color and quality, the dress is a one-of-one design piece that exudes fierce flirtation that will flatter any girl who is lucky enough to wear it, just like the lovely lady in this photo!      Golds and neutrals are amongst the most popular colors of the season, and no one’s complaining! Who could turn away from this dazzling gold dress? The answer is no one. Ironically, no one is also the number of people who could wear this dress as fabulously as model @_niybby_ (on Instagram). The look in her eyes as the gold and tan mesh wraps around her, enveloping her in a diva-fied hug, is emphatic. Every time you look at this dress, it reveals more interesting details including the thigh high slit flowing into a beautify train and who can forget the intricate beaded embellishments around the bust, which adds unique flair, making this 2 piece dress a true standout.      It seems the boys have done it again! This tailored suit set brings a fresh take to men’s prom wear with its elegant ivory color. Complementing his date’s beautiful dress and radiant smile, this promgoer sports an aesthetically pleasing ivory dress shirt and pants. However, it’s his suit jacket that has our hearts. The exterior features a stand-up collar, intricate foiled gold and ivory lace design with elegant gold buttons, while the interior reveals a collaged memory bank showcasing the model’s journey through football.
