Theophilio is the Brooklyn, NY contemporary brand owned by Jamican-American Edvin Thompson. Thompson was born in Kingston, Jamaica in 1993 and at age 9, he moved to the USA and lived in New Jersey and later Atlanta, Georgia. Proud to be Rastafarian, Thompson’s Jamaican heritage influenced the colors, fabrication, and silhouettes of his brand. Theophilio was named after his Carribean grandfather and  means “loved by God.” His adoration for his homeland has been essential in implementing the brand’s ideology.

Theophilio was designed with the intention of every upcycled thread used in his garment symbolizing battle armor against adversity. In 2021 Theophilio won The American Emerging Designer Award at the 2021 CFDA Awards. Theophilio will be showing on the New York Fashion Week Runway on Saturday Feb 11th. You can tune in to his 2024 Spring Collection on the Runway 360 Hub.
