Rachel Scott’s brand Diotima is a love letter to her Caribbean roots. Traditional Jamaican garments, doilies, and mesh marinas, Diotima is handstitched by a very talented designer. Born in Kingston, Jamaica in 1984, Rachel Scott’s parents influenced her career path to become a designer. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Colgate University, Scott shifted careers and attended the Instituto Marangoni Fashion Institute in Milan.
Her future in fashion became most promising once she methodically started her own fashion company during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2023 Rachel won the Emerging Designer of the Year at the CFDA Fashion Awards. Amongst many other accolades and awards, Rachel has worked with Hollywood stars such as Ayesha Curry, Doja Cat, and Letitia Wright.
