Born on the south side of Chicago but raised in the small town of Greenville, Mississippi, Johnathan developed his desire to pursue fashion after a classmate requested that he sketch her prom dress. Jonathan not only fulfilled her request but exceeded her expectations with a sketch of a dress that Dorothy Dandridge wore, as inspiration.
After learning the basics in fashion from various institutions, in 2015 Jonathan continued his education in fashion by enrolling in the Illinois Institute of Art Chicago to major in fashion design. Working under fashion pioneers here in Chicago such as Bryan K Osburn, his primary passion has been couture, in which he has made timeless fashions for every occasion.
