Black In Fashion: Day 23 Mona Muhammed Knotty Loop

     What comes to mind when you think of crochet Fashion? Hats, maybe a sweater? Knotty Loops is the brand that has that and more! Mona Muhammad owner of Knotty Loop Creations hasn’t followed the traditional designer’s journey. Some might even say her path started by accident! She began designing as a result of a dare from a friend and produced her first creations during Christmas 2005. Upon recognizing her talent, she became unstoppable. 

     Mona’s crochet artistry has been featured in ABC “7 On Your Side” as well as on the likes of soul icons: India Arie and Christette Michelle. She likes to call her fashions “sasschet” meaning sassy, classy, and crochet. With threads fit for all ages, 0 to 82, sizes 0 to 24, snatch up some Mona’s sasschet for yourself, a friend, or a family member. No matter who or what you are looking for, at Knotty Loops you will find unique handmade crochet apparel and accessories to adorn both the body and the spirit.  Mona believes that when you look your best, you surround yourself with a positive energy and you instinctively feel good. Mona was featured in our 2017 runway show and 2021 virtual pop-up online.
